There is so much way that we can do to express our feeling. You can sing when you're get bored, you can shout when you're drunk, you can write when you want to tell a story, or anything else. Yeah, just do whatever you like to do to release the beast inside of you, but still, keep being a good people without annoy anyone. Jangan kurang ajar sama simbok...
In the end of May 2016, I choose to spend my weekend with my friend Adit, to go to Papandayan mountain. We just do a quick conversation about it and suddenly it all goes its way. Papandayan mountain is located in Garut, West Java. We started the Journey from Cawang, Jakarta by bus at 8pm on Friday and arrived at Garut at 3am on Saturday.

On the first climbing post/gate, we sit together with another group that also come from Jakarta. This group consist of 4 people, Maria, Dyo, Faisal, and Pendekar123xyz (I forget his real name, sorry lol). In short, we decided to climb the mountain together so it will be more fun.

Arrived at Pondok Saladah at 11am, then we plan to build up our tent. Pondok Saladah is the third-and-last climbing post of Papandayan track. Adit who has experience in hiking more than any of the group member start to creating the pattern, and we just help him if needed. The weather is very cold, i honestly said that. In the first 30 minutes after we finished our tent, I cant feel my finger because of its cold! Crazy... Luckily, i brought a gloves, haha. We prepare our condition with some hot water and food before we climb the mountain peak.
We are ready to start climbing to the mountain peak at 2pm. Camera is well prepared too so we can take a lot of photos :))). IMO, the best view at this mountain is in the "Dead Forest/Hutan Mati" zone. The earth is white-coloured surrounding by lot of tree tunk make it so beautiful to picture it.

At the mountain peak, we are welcomed by the Edelweis fields named "Tegal Alun". The view was beautiful, but i think it's not as beautiful as Hutan Mati. In Tegal Alun we rest for a while before going back to the tent at Pondok Saladah. I brought some Edelweis illegally hehe.
For me, it is my first experience and I love it. I really want to do that again. For the next trip, I have a plan to go to Prau mountain maybe at the end of August. See you next trip!
